Garden Sheds

Garden sheds make up part of the traditional image of the Great British garden. They usually stand out as the warm brown colour of wood that sits against a backdrop of various shades of green. All in all, the natural look of the wood makes the shed fit in with the countryside setting. People use them for a variety of purposes. They can use them for storage (ie, bikes, tools, wood, paint, gardening equipment, gloves etc.), as workshops (workwork, repair work etc), or to house animals (if there is a suitable amount of space).

They are usually constructed out of wood and will have a slanted roof (like a house) and a window. They will naturally need replacing after some time as wood has a tendency to rot or warp. As a result, people tend to repair and treat their sheds like the jobs they use they shed for. Often they will protect them with treatments like varnish, which also create a certain effect and can make the shed appear in a certain way.

Sheds are part of the British garden and are showing no signs of disappearing. Along with other things in the garden, they are a staple of the countryside.
